Agenda: Navigating the future of Tax in Financial Services

In addition to the Financial Services focussed breakout session within the main EMA Tax Summit we will also be hosting a deep dive Financial Services focussed program immediately after the main Summit agenda concludes on Thursday afternoon.

With tax so often intertwined in negotiation and debate on policy, trade, strategy and business transformation, tax leaders in financial services continue to face additional challenges navigating changes in response to new tax policy, while transforming the tax function and embracing new technology.

Across the world, 2024 is an election year for many jurisdictions. In this session, we will:

  • Gain insights from a leading speaker on geopolitical tensions and possible outturns for the global landscape and tax policy for financial services
  • Discuss the opportunities and risks of the use of new technologies (such as generative AI) for tax advisors, tax departments and tax authorities with KPMG leaders and clients;
  • Hear from KPMG senior Financial Services Regulatory specialists, alongside Heads of Tax at leading financial services institutions from across asset management, banking and insurance who together will share their views on likely future priorities in light of possible changes to European tax policy for 2025 and beyond.

Join us for cocktails and canapes following the session for an opportunity to network with other Summit delegates and senior tax leaders in the Financial Services sector.
