Navigating challenges in private equity and asset management

Private equity and asset management continue to play a vital role in shaping investment strategy across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMA). In an increasingly complex and volatile investment environment, tax has become an essential component in driving value and managing risk.

Join this focused session where our KPMG professionals will explore key tax challenges and opportunities facing the private equity and asset management sectors today.

Private equity: Tax in portfolio value creation

Private capital — and private equity in particular — represents a significant share of investments across various industries in the EMA region, with a strong track record of growth and returns for investors and stakeholders alike.

In today’s volatile investment environment, holding periods for acquired assets are becoming longer. As a result, focusing on portfolio value creation is more important than ever. KPMG’s Transaction to Transformation (T2T) value creation offering includes tax as a key component. During the first half of this session, we will focus on tax within KPMG’s Value Creation offering through a live discussion with a key industry player.

Asset management: Tax Reimagined for asset managers — shaping the tax function of the future

The second half of the session will explore how mass data and innovative technologies — such as artificial intelligence — are enabling a more efficient and forward-looking approach to tax compliance.

At the same time, asset managers must navigate increasing regulatory complexity and cost pressures.

We will share practical insights into current market trends, offering a hands-on perspective on transforming the tax function and a glimpse into the future of tax technology.
